They get money off
Ask us for a code and pass it on, or just tell us who to expect. It comes off their first year at checkout, whichever tier they choose.
Here is what we do instead, and the arithmetic behind why. If somebody you know would be better off with this, introducing them should be worth something to you — but not so little that the offer is faintly insulting.
No tiers, no dashboard, no minimum. One introduction is worth the same as the tenth.
Ask us for a code and pass it on, or just tell us who to expect. It comes off their first year at checkout, whichever tier they choose.
Added to your own licence when they buy. It stacks — three introductions is a year — and there is no cap.
If you hold a Firm licence, take an extra seat instead. Most practices would rather equip one more person than shorten a renewal.
A referral programme for this product would pay about 20% of the sale. At our prices that is ₹200 on a Personal licence and ₹900 on a Team one. Nobody scopes a deployment, answers a security question and follows up twice for ₹900 a year.
Cash commission works where the ticket is large or the volume is enormous. This is a considered purchase at a small price, usually with an IT review attached — neither. So rather than dress ₹900 up as a revenue stream, we pay in the thing that is actually worth something to somebody who already uses the software.
The second reason is that we would have to build attribution, renewal tracking and a payout ledger to honour "lifetime commission", and none of that exists. A promise you cannot keep in year two is worse than no promise, especially made to somebody who has just vouched for you to a peer.
| 1. Tell us | Send us a note saying who to expect, or ask for a code to pass on. Either works; the code is simply easier if you would rather not make an introduction. |
| 2. They buy, if it suits them | They can try everything free for fourteen days first. We would rather they decided on the software than on your recommendation alone — it is your relationship at stake, not ours. |
| 3. We add it to your licence | Three months, or a seat. You do not have to chase it, and there is nothing to claim. |
If you are an IT provider or a reseller wanting to sell this properly rather than introduce the occasional firm, that is a different conversation and a different commercial arrangement — start it here.
