The product
Oxofolio is desktop software for working with documents — PDFs, images, and Word, Excel and PowerPoint files. It runs entirely on the machine you install it on. You are responsible for holding the right to process the documents you open with it.
Your licence
Licences are annual, and every tier includes every part of the application — nothing is held back for a higher one. A Personal licence covers one person on the machines they use themselves; Team covers five computers; Firm covers the number you bought. What each of those means in practice is under Seats below. Before you buy anything the whole application runs free for fourteen days, with no watermarks and no export limits, and nothing you produce during the trial stops working afterwards. You may not redistribute, resell or reverse engineer the software except where the law says you may.
What the software will not do
Oxofolio applies passwords you already hold; it will not recover, guess or brute-force a password you have lost, and we will not add that. It does not make you compliant with any law — it produces evidence and does work you would otherwise do by hand.
Limits you should know about
Redaction removes the text from the document and the result is read back to confirm the identifier is gone; documents with no text layer are refused rather than covered with a rectangle. Secure erasure overwrites and unlinks the file, which is NIST SP 800-88 Clear — not Purge or Destroy. On a solid-state drive or a snapshotting filesystem, an earlier copy of a block can survive until it is reused, which is why full-disk encryption matters.
Updates and availability
We update the app for security, compatibility and new work. Your licence covers the updates released during its year, on whichever platforms you use.
Payment
There are two ways to buy, and which one applies changes who you are contracting with. Prices in Indian rupees are taken by Razorpay, which is a payment gateway: Chadura Tech Private Limited is the seller, and the price shown is inclusive of GST at the prevailing rate. Prices in US dollars are taken by Dodo Payments, which acts as merchant of record: Dodo is the seller to you, and it calculates and collects whatever sales tax or VAT is due where you are, on top of the price shown. In both cases card and UPI details are entered in the provider's own checkout and never reach us — we receive the payment status and the order identifier, not the instrument.
Tax invoices
Every rupee purchase gets a GST tax invoice by email, carrying our GSTIN, the SAC code, the place of supply and the tax split. Give us your GSTIN at checkout and it appears on the invoice, which is what lets your business claim input tax credit; without one the invoice is issued to an unregistered recipient and cannot carry that credit. If a detail is wrong, tell us and we will reissue it. For dollar purchases the invoice comes from Dodo Payments, because Dodo is the seller of that supply and not us.
Refunds
Ask within 7 days of purchase and we will refund you in full, with no questions asked and no need to justify it. Use the contact form and include the email address you bought with. We start the refund within two working days of seeing the request; the money is then returned to the same card or account you paid from by whichever provider took it — Razorpay for a rupee purchase, Dodo Payments for a dollar one — which usually takes a further five to seven working days. A dollar purchase is a sale by Dodo as merchant of record, so its own refund process applies and we raise the request with them on your behalf. Your licence key stops working once the refund is made. After 7 days we are not obliged to refund, but ask anyway if something has gone wrong — we would rather fix it. The app is free to download and try before you buy anything, which is why the window is short.
When a licence lapses
The application does not stop dead. There are seven days of grace past the expiry date, and seven more if the machine changes, both working normally with a banner saying so — a firm mid-engagement with a filing deadline is not the moment for us to be right about licensing. Clearing stored passwords and opening a document in another application are never gated, whatever the licence says: a product must not trap your own data inside it because you stopped paying.
Seats
A licence covers a fixed number of computers — one for Personal, five for Team, and the number you bought for Firm. Each computer gets its own signed licence file, claimed with the same claim code. Claiming a computer you have already licensed returns the file it already has rather than using up another seat, and replacing a computer moves its seat across at no cost and without changing the expiry date.
If you are a consumer outside India
⚠ Consumer law where you live may give you a right to cancel a digital purchase — commonly fourteen days in the EU and the UK — and our seven-day promise sits alongside any such right rather than replacing it. For a dollar purchase the sale is made by Dodo Payments as merchant of record, so a statutory cancellation is exercised against Dodo and under their process; tell us as well and we will chase it. Nothing on this page is intended to remove a right you have by law.
Governing law
⚠ These terms, and the licence they grant, are governed by the law of India, and the courts at Bengaluru have jurisdiction over any dispute about them. Where a dollar purchase was made through Dodo Payments as merchant of record, the contract of sale is between you and Dodo and is governed by their terms — this clause covers your licence to use the software, which comes from us either way. Nothing here overrides a mandatory protection of the country you live in.
Liability
The software is provided as-is to the extent the law allows. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law. Where Dodo Payments is the merchant of record for your purchase, your contract for that sale is with Dodo; this licence and everything it permits you to do with the software still come from us.
